American actor who rose to fame in the 1980s for his roles in films like Top Gun and Russkies. In the 1990s, he appeared in Coneheads , Species, and Executive Decision. From 1996 to 2000, he played the role of Tom Hampton in a revival of the 1964 television series Flipper.
