ABOUT GUSTAVO PUERTA

Former teenage soccer sensation and athlete that originally signed his first professional club contract with Bogotá F.C. in the year 2021 while he was just 18 years of age. After two seasons, he then joined the German Bundesliga squad Bayer Leverkusen in January of 2023.

As a kid coming up, he played for Talentos Gustavo Victoria. He also played for the Supercampeones youth squad.

He made his official club debut as a professional with Bogotá F.C. while playing against the Sports Quindío on January 25, 2022. He and his teammates won the match with a score of 2-1. Roughly two years later, he was acquired by 1. FC Nürnberg via loan transfer that very same season.

He grew up living with his family in La Victoria, Colombia.

He primarily plays the position of midfielder just like Yaya Touré and Andrés Iniesta .
