ABOUT HAING S. NGOR
Physician turned actor who received an Academy Award in 1985 for his role in The Killing Fields alongside John Malkovich . He was murdered after playing Billy Tungpet in the 1996 film, Hit Me.
He worked as a doctor in a refugee camp in Thailand.
In 1988, he wrote Haing Ngor: A Cambodian Odyssey, which was based on his time in Cambodia.
He married Huoy Ngor.
He appeared in Heave & Earth, which was directed by Oliver Stone .
