ABOUT HAL CLEMENT
An American science fiction writer, he is known for his 1954 novel, Mission of Gravity, as well as for his 1945 short story, Uncommon Sense. He was inducted into the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame in 1998.
He flew thirty-five combat missions during World War II.
He received a fifty-year Retro Hugo Award in 1996.
He married Mary Elizabeth Myers in 1952; together, they had two sons.
He and William Gibson both won the Hugo Award.
