ABOUT HAMZA ALI ABBASI
Known best for his roles in the television series Pyarey Afzal (as the character Afzal) and Meray Dard Ko Jo Suban Miley (as Azam), Abbasi also delivered acclaimed performances for his roles in the 2013 film Waar and the 2015 film Jawani Phir Nahi Ani.
After studying film at a university in the United States, he returned to his native Pakistan and pursued a career as a professional stage actor, appearing in productions of Phantom of the Opera and Bombay Dreams.
He began a second career as a cinematic director by working on a project titled Mud House and the Golden Doll.
He grew up in Multan, Pakistan with a sister named Fazeela Abbasi. He is married to actress Naimal Khawar . Together they have a son named Mustafa Ali Abbasi.
He co-starred with Aiza Khan in the romantic drama serial Pyarey Afzal.
