ABOUT HAROLD REID
Singer who sang bass in the popular country quartet The Statler Brothers. He was a key songwriter behind many of the group's biggest hits, most notably "Do You Know You Are My Sunshine" and "Bed of Rose's."
He began performing with The Statler Brothers in 1955 in Staunton, Virginia.
He and The Statler Brothers embarked on their farewell tour in 2002.
His younger brother, Don, was the band's lead singer.
He and his band served as the backing band for country music legend Johnny Cash .
