Harry McShane

ABOUT HARRY MCSHANE

Scottish winger who played professionally in the UK football leagues on such teams as the Blackburn Rovers and the Bolton Wanderers.

During World War II, he played with several teams in the Premier League, in between serving with the Royal Air Force in North Africa and Italy.

He scored seven goals in 31 appearances with Manchester United.

He was born in Holytown, North Lanarkshire, in 1920.

His son Ian McShane became an actor.
