ABOUT HAYLEY SQUIRES
English actress and playwright known for her co-starring role in Ken Loach 's 2016 drama film I, Daniel Blake. She is also notable for her critically acclaimed leading role in the four-part British drama series Adult Material. Her first play, Vera Vera Vera, was produced in 2012.
She earned a BA in Acting from Rose Bruford College in 2010.
She was named Most Promising Newcomer at the 2016 British Independent Film Awards. In 2021, she received the International Emmy Award for Best Actress for her performance in Adult Material.
She was born Hayley McGinty. She has an older brother.
She worked alongside Benedict Cumberbatch on the cast of The Electrical Life of Louis Wain.
