ABOUT HEATHER ARMSTRONG
She runs Dooce, a blog about pop culture, music, books, and life as a single mother. The site, which reached the height of its popularity in 2004, was active from 2001 until 2003. She posted life updates and photos of herself on her popular dooce Instagram page.
She graduated from Brigham Young University in 1997 with a bachelor's in English.
In 2008 she was awarded a lifetime achievement award from The Weblog Awards, and in 2009 was featured by Forbes on its list of "The Most Influential Women In Media". She struggled with alcoholism, which ultimately led to her early death in 2023.
She divorced Jon Armstrong in 2012. Their children are Leta Elise, born February 3, 2004, and Marlo Iris, born June 14, 2009.
