ABOUT HéCTOR VILLALBA

Winger who signed as a designated player for the MLS expansion franchise Atlanta United FC ahead of their inaugural 2017 season. He rose to prominence for his career with Argentine side San Lorenzo between 2012 and 2016.

He began his youth career in 2004 as part of San Lorenzo's youth academy. He made his senior team debut in Argentina's Primera Division in August 2012.

He helped lead San Lorenzo to a Supercopa Argentina win in 2015. In July 2016, he was loaned to Liga MX club Tijuana from Atlanta United.

His father originally hails from Paraguay.
