ABOUT HELENA GUALINGA
Social media personality, online content creator, Instagram star, and climate and human rights activist who is best known for her helenagualinga Instagram account. She has used her platform to become a prominent spokesperson for the Sarayaku indigenous community.
She attended courses at the Cathedral School of Åbo.
She picketed outside of the UN headquarters during the 2019 UN Climate Action Summit. She was featured in a 2022 article published in Vogue magazine. She has amassed more than 110,000 followers.
Her mother is Noemí Gualinga, an indigenous Ecuadorian. Her older sister Nina Gualinga is also an activist.
Both she and Simon Clark were named Climate Creators to Watch in the year 2024 by Pique Action.
