ABOUT HENRY BOUCHA

Nicknamed "The Chief" due to his Chippewa ancestry, he was the 1972-1973 NHL Rookie of the Year playing for the Detroit Red Wings . He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1995.

He played hockey at Warroad High School in Minnesota.

His career was disrupted due to persistent blurred vision after getting hit in the eye with a stick in a 1975 game.

He was born in Warroad, Minnesota. He had a daughter named Tara.

Winger Mickey Redmond was his teammate on the Red Wings.
