In July of 2012, he began posting on Instagram. His first post was a photo of himself in his medical scrubs.

He is the founder and director of UCOM, a hospital unit that performs bariatric surgery. He is also a shareholder of the Hospital de Clínicas Caracas.

He is married to Mariangela Peña Moreno. Together, they have two daughters.
