ABOUT HERNáN LóPEZ

Professional attacking midfielder and athlete that originally signed his first club soccer contract with the River Plate Athletic Club as a teenager in the year 2019. Since then, he has played soccer professionally in several other countries such as Argentina and the United States. In the year 2024, he signed a multi-year deal with the San Jose Earthquakes .

As a kid, he played with the Pacífico Villa del Parque youth squad. He later joined the River Plate youth academy in the year 2014.

He made his professional club debut with River Plate while playing against the Tigre Athletic Club on the date of April 7, 2019. Unfortunately, he and his teammates lost his debut match with a score of 3-2. He stands five feet, six inches tall.

Growing up, he lived with his parents in Villa del Parque, Argentina. He is the great-nephew of legendary soccer player Diego Maradona .

He primarily plays the position of attacking midfielder just like Kai Havertz .
