ABOUT HUALALAI CHUNG

Hawaiian actor, entertainer, artist, and performer who is known for his work in a wide assortment of both popular films and television projects including Moana 2 (2024), NCIS: Hawai'i (2024), and Rescue: HI-Surf (2024).

He performed in local plays before he appeared in several short films in 2020 and 2021. His first major onscreen role was in an episode of NCIS: Hawai'i in 2024. He was cast in Moana 2 which was his big break in 2024.

He enjoys dancing and is trained in fire knife dancing. His first onscreen appearance was an uncredited role in an episode of Mad Men as a fire knife dancer in 2013. He appeared in one episode of Sesame Street in 2023. He initially had no idea he was auditioning for a Disney production as Moana 2 was labeled confidentially.

He was born and raised in Kāneʻohe, Oahu, Hawaii. He has Native Hawaiian and Polynesian heritage. His mother joined him for a private screening of Moana 2.

He worked alongside Dwayne Johnson , Auli'i Cravalho , and Alan Tudyk in Moana 2 (2024).
