ABOUT HWANG JANG-LEE

Famous for his film roles as Sheng Kuan and Thunderleg in, respectively, Snake in the Eagle's Shadow and Drunken Master, this Japanese-Korean actor and martial artist also appeared in Ninja in the Dragon's Den, Bruce Lee's Secret, and numerous other action movies.

At age fourteen, he began his training in the martial art of Tae kwon do. His earliest film credits include Secret Envoy and Year of the Dragon.

After ending his acting career in the 1990s, he opened a golf supplies company and operated a bodyguard business.

Though born in Aomori, Japan, he was raised in his parents' native Korea.

His two most famous roles were both in Jackie Chan movies.
