Famous as the frontman of the Argentine rock band Patricio Rey y Sus Redonditos de Ricota, he also recorded albums with El Soldado and Los Fundamentalistas del Aire Acondicionado.
He founded his most famous band in the mid 1970s and released Gulp!, his first album with the group, a decade later.
His Patricio Rey y Sus Redonditos de Ricota collaborators include Skay Beilinson and Semilla Bucciarelli.
Born Carlos Alberto Solari, he spent his youth in Parana, Entre Rios, Argentina. He and Virginia Mones Ruiz had a son named Bruno Solari
He is a contemporary of fellow Argentine rock musician Palito Ortega .
