Politician famous for serving as the administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration under Joe Biden . She is the fifth Latina woman to serve in the Cabinet of the United States. She is the co-founder of GovContractPros.

Her first political role came in the form of serving as the deputy chief of staff and the senior advisor at the SBA.

She earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business. Between 2002 and 2003, she served as the appointments secretary in California Governor Gray Davis 's administration. She became a member of Joe Biden's cabinet on March 16, 2021.

Her passion for small business developed through working with her father at his veterinary clinic.

Janet Yellen has also served in the Biden administration.
