He was raised in Corvallis, Oregon. He later moved to country music haven Nashville, Tennessee to further his music career.
He has opened for big name country artists like Frankie Ballard , Blake Shelton and Lee Brice .
He has been married and has children named Theran and Shayla. His older brother is singer Paul Wright.
He has performed live duets with singer Jo Dee Messina .
