ABOUT JALEN SMITH

Power forward who was selected 10th overall by the Phoenix Suns in the 2020 NBA Draft . He previously finished on the 2020 All-Big Ten first-team while playing for the University of Maryland Terrapins.

He was a consensus top 25 recruit as a senior in the 2018 high school class. He was named to the 2018 McDonald's All-American team.

He was a 2020 third-team All-American as a sophomore for the Maryland Terrapins. He was also named to the Big Ten All-Defensive Team that year.

His father, Charles, served in the Navy.

He was picked in the 2020 NBA Draft in the top ten, alongside LaMelo Ball .
