In his videos, he mentions that he felt ashamed of his indigenous features growing up, but that by reconnecting to his culture's traditions, he learned to love every part of himself.
He has performed all over the world, including at the 2006 World Ski Cup Championship in Italy, the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, the 2014 Juno Awards and the 2015 Coachella Music and Arts festival.
He is an indigenous American from the nehîyaw people.
