ABOUT JANA BRIKE
Painter and visual artist who is known for her figure paintings in oil on canvas. She has also delved into drawing, animation, mixed media sculpture, and installation work. She shares her diverse range of artworks through her Instagram for her over 150,000 followers.
She studied academical painting at the Art Academy of Latvia and later earned her M.A. in 2005. Her first group exhibition came in 1997 at the Vecriga gallery in Latvia. She then earned recognition when she was accepted to participate in the StArt art fair in Strasburg, Switzerland.
She has been interviewed and featured in several different international press outlets including Buzzworthy, BSC News, Stated Mag, and Stadtgefulster.
She was born and raised in Riga, Latvia.
