She is a former ballet dancer.

While her children were under the legal age, she worked as their manager.

She and her ex-husband, David Olsen, had four children. Her oldest is writer Trent Olsen . She later had Mary-Kate and Ashley, and her youngest Elizabeth.

Her twins, Mary-Kate and Ashley, starred in Full House alongside the late Bob Saget .
