Son of singer R. Kelly . His mother is Andrea Lee. He came out as transgender in 2014 in an Instagram post. He said he has a complicated relationship with his father.
He told Paper Magazine that he identified as a boy at age six or seven. He wore men's clothes at school and said his classmates mocked him.
He released music under the alias JaahBaby. In 2014, he released his first single titled "Reservoir." He learned how to play the clarinet, the trumpet and the piano.
He was the middle sibling between sister Joann and brother Robert, Jr.
He and Julian Lennon are both sons of well-known singers.
