ABOUT JAYDE YUK FUN RIVIERE
Canadian professional soccer player best known for playing as a defender for English Women's Super League club Manchester United and the Canada women's national team. She also played college soccer at the University of Michigan before signing her first professional contract with Manchester United in the year 2023.
At the age of three, her father taught her how to play soccer. She started playing club soccer for West Rouge SC at the age of four. She attended Bill Crothers Secondary School where she also played volleyball, flag football and track and field.
In the year 2021, she won a gold medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. She has been a brand ambassador for several different companies and known brand names including both Under Armour and CMG Sports. She stands 5'5" tall.
Her father was born in Dominica, and her mother was born in Hong Kong.
She has played alongside Maya Le Tissier and Christine Sinclair for Manchester United.
