ABOUT JEAN SHAFIROFF

American philanthropist, author, advocate, and socialite. She is the ambassador and spokesperson for American Humane Feed the Hungry COVID-19 Program and the host of the television show "Successful Philanthropy" on LTV. She has 1.2 million followers on Instagram.

She received a BS in physical therapy from Columbia University 's College of Physicians and Surgeons, and an MBA from Columbia Business School. She worked as a physical therapist at St. Luke's Hospital in New York City. She also worked in public finance and in private partnerships on Wall Street, including a post in the corporate finance department of investment bank L.F. Rothschild, Unterberg, Towbin.

Since 2010, she has racked up over 10,000 on the website of the society photographer Patrick McMullan, and more than 100 mentions in Page Six, the gossip column in The New York Post.

She was born Jean Lutri and grew up in Hicksville, New York, the daughter of a former music chairman and director of district bands for the Levittown, Long Island, schools. She has been married to Martin D. Shafiroff, a former Lehman Brothers managing director for over 40 years.

A staple of New York high society, she has appeared alongside everyone from Jason Wu and ex-Beatle Paul McCartney to Georgina Bloomberg .
