Strong safety who fought his way onto the Dallas Cowboys 53-man roster in 2013 despite going undrafted. He had 60 tackles, an interception and one forced fumble during his rookie season.

He started a defensive back and also had place kicking duties during his time at Lake Orion High School.

He was a two-time All-GLIAC selection during his career at the Division II school Saginaw Valley State University .

His father Mike is an assistant high school football coach.

He was scored on by Calvin Johnson during his first NFL start on October 27, 2013.
