ABOUT JEON HYE-JIN

South Korean actress known for her critically acclaimed movie roles. She was widely praised for her portrayal of Consort Yeong in the 2015 historical drama film The Throne. She scored another hit with her portrayal of Chun In-sook in 2017's The Merciless.

She studied directing at Sangmyung University.

She was named Best Supporting Actress at the 36th Blue Dragon Film Awards for her performance in The Throne. She also received a Best Supporting Actress award at the 37th Korean Association of Film Critics Awards for her role in The Merciless.

She and actor Lee Sun-kyun tied the knot in 2009. They welcomed their first son that same year and their second son in 2011.

Song Kang-ho was her co-star in The Throne.
