ABOUT JES BAKER
Otherwise known as The Militant Baker, this body-positive blogger and mental health advocate has become known through her food, feminist, and lifestyle blog. A prolific writer and author, she has gone on to publish the essay collection Things No One Will Tell Fat Girls: A Handbook for Unapologetic Living.
Her blogging career didn't begin until 2012 when she was inspired to begin writing by reading The Nearsighted Owl blog. She'd previously been spending her post-college years as a pastry chef and a mental health educator and rehabilitation specialist.
In 2014, she founded the body-positivity convention the Body Love Conference held in Arizona.
She was born the eldest daughter in a large Mormon family.
She has worked and become friends with several other curvy icons including fashion designer Ashley Nell Tipton .
