She became interested in styling at a young age. She first learned of blogging in 2007, and launched Lobster & Swan at that time. It was one of the UK's original lifestyle blogs.

She founded a sustainable online lifestyle store called The Future Kept.

She discovered her enthusiasm for styling as a child at her grandmother's house. She grew up on the East Sussex coast.
