In November 2024, he received a Grammy nomination for the Best Gospel Performance/Song award for his work on the song "Holy Hands." He has a popular self-titled YouTube channel, which has gained 120,000 subscribers. On his channel, he has mainly posted lyric videos, music videos, and live performances.

In March 2010, he released his debut album titled Love in Technicolor. Three years later, he followed up with his second album called From the Ground Up.

He likes dogs. In April 2025, he went to a Los Angeles Lakers game.

He has been married to his wife Gracienne Barrera. Together, they have a son called Jet Ryder Barrera.

He has collaborated with artists such as Tori Kelly , Jeremy Passion , and Albert Posis .
