ABOUT JILL ROORD

Dutch midfielder who kicked off her professional career with FC Twente Vrouwen. She transferred to FC Bayern Munich in 2017 and Arsenal W.F.C. in 2019. At the international level, she represented the Netherlands in the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup. In July 2023, she signed a three-year deal with the club Manchester City .

She grew up idolizing Brazilian soccer star Ronaldinho .

She was the Women's Super League Player of the Month for September 2020. She shares highlights from her soccer career on her jillroord Instagram account, where she has gained upwards of 270,000 followers.

Her father, René Roord, is a former soccer player.

She and Sveindís Jane Jónsdóttir became teammates in 2021.
