ABOUT JIMMY MACDONALD

Voice actor who was best known for having been the official voice of Mickey Mouse from 1947 to 1976 and again in 1978. His other credits include the Disney animated features Alice in Wonderland and Cinderella .

In his youth he worked as a musician on Dollar Steam Ship Lines. This led to him getting an opportunity to record music for a Disney cartoon.

He performed test yodeling for the classic animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs . He would later become the head of the Disney sound effects department.

He married his wife, Sarah Roberta Cullen, in 1936.

Wayne Allwine was his protégée.
