Played for ten years in the NBA and was selected to two All-Star teams as a member of the Detroit Pistons, Houston Rockets and Kansas City-Omaha Kings.

He led the entire nation in scoring as a senior at Providence College, averaging thirty points per game.

He was discovered by legendary Boston Celtics guard Sam Jones while playing basketball in the streets of Boston.

His son played in the NBA for fourteen seasons.

He played alongside Hall of Fame guard Dave Bing on the Detroit Pistons.
