ABOUT JOHN CARROLL
American actor and singer who was known for starring in several Western films throughout the 1930s including as Zorro in the 1937 film Zorro Rides Again.
He started acting in the late 1920s and appeared in several small roles until 1935.
He stopped acting for a while to serve in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a pilot in North Africa.
He was married twice and had a daughter, Julianna.
He co-starred with John Wayne in the 1942 film Flying Tigers.
