NFL kicker who was drafted in the fourth round of the 1991 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks; his career would last for more than 20 years.

He was all-state at Clarke Central High School in Athens, Georgia, and played college football at the University of Georgia.

He kicked his 400th field goal on December 6, 2009, becoming the seventh player in the NFL to achieve such a feat.

He was born in Athens, Georgia, in 1969.

He reached the Super Bowl with the Panthers in 2003 but his team's upset bid fell short against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.
