When he was 9 years of age he was playing in his family's garage with matches and gasoline when he created an explosion. The incident left him with third degree burns over his entire body.

He has spoken in front of several corporate clients including LEGO and Southwest Airlines.

He and his wife Beth had four children together.

Both he and Tony Robbins built careers as motivational/inspirational speakers.
