ABOUT JOHN SINCLAIR
Poet, author, Civil Rights activist, music manager, and spoken word performer. His numerous poetry recordings include John Sinclair with Ed Moss Society Jazz Orchestra: If I Could Be With You and John Sinclair: Beatnik Youth.
He attended the University of Michigan-Flint.
He performed two of his poems -- "Monk In Orbit" and "Fat Boy" -- to the rock accompaniment of The Black Crowes.
He was born in Flint, Michigan. In his youth, he wrote for several Detroit newspapers.
John Lennon recorded the song "John Sinclair" in Sinclair's honor.
