He was born in Kalmar, Sweden to a family of musicians and evangelists. During his childhood and teen years, he recorded six albums with his parents and siblings.
He briefly attended Minnesota's North Central University.
He settled in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife and fellow singer, Anna Thulin.
He and Britt Nicole both had careers as Christian pop singers.
