Josef Souza

ABOUT JOSEF SOUZA

Commonly referred to as Souza, he is a professional Brazilian football player for Fenerbahce. He plays the position of central midfielder as well as defensive midfielder. He is also known for his work on the Brazilian national team.

He first began his youth career in 1998 as a part of the Vasco da Gama club. In 2008, he began his senior career for the same club until 2010 when he was taken on as a member of Porto. In 2009, he competed with Brazil's Under 20 team and in 2014, he joined Brazil's national team.

He has won and earned several awards and recognitions for his playing including the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A Team of the Year in 2014. He also was awarded the UEFA Europa League in the 2010-2011 season as a part of the Porto club.

He was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
