ABOUT JOSEPH CERAVOLO
New York School poet who wrote Spring In This World of Poor Mutts, Millennium Dust, and Transmigration Solo, among other works. A posthumous volume of his Collected Poems was published in 2013.
He attended The New School for Social Research. He published his debut poetry collection, Fits of Dawn, in 1965.
He was a nature poet, and the titles of many of his literary works -- i.e., Wild Flowers Out of Gas -- contain references to the natural world.
He was born in New York City to Italian immigrant parents. He had three children with his wife Rosemary.
He was influenced by the poetry of Walt Whitman .
