American actor known for playing Johnny Boy Soprano on The Sopranos . He passed away at age 66 after a long battle with colon cancer.

He graduated from Stanford University in 1977. He also received his MFA from Tisch School of the Arts at New York University .

He starred in The Report as John Rizzo and The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story as Fred Goldman. He also starred in several Broadway shows including Jersey Boys.

He had a sister named Maria and three brothers named Mario, Ernest and Michael. He also had a daughter named Allegra, a son-in-law named Aaron and a grandson named Atticus.

He worked with many well-known actors over the years, including Adam Driver , Corey Stoll and Sarah Paulson .
