He won the popular reality competition TV series The Block in 2017. He has worked as an official tourism partner for Australia's Northern Territory.

He and Elyse Knowles welcomed their child, Sunny Barker, in February 2021. They had a son named Zaii in May 2023. In June 2024, they announced they were expecting their third child together. In December 2024, they welcomed a daughter named Java together.
