Certified as a Holistic Coach Advanced Practitioner, he is an emotional healing coach, international teacher and comedic personality on YouTube who creates satirical videos as part of a series called Ultra Spiritual Life. His YouTube channel AwakenWithJP has earned more than 3 million subscribers.

He became a faculty member of the C.H.E.K. Institute in 2006, and remained a member until 2013.

He authored a book called How To Be Ultra Spiritual. He offers one-on-one, one hour Skype sessions to offer "emotional healing."

He dated a photographer named Diana Deaver. He later married Amber Lee Sears. They have one child together.

He had the chance to meet fellow "emotional healer" Tony Robbins .
