He was part of the British power pop group The Records, contributing to their first album before striking out on his own.

In addition to his solo work, he worked as the manager and producer of acts, including Lifehouse.

He was born in Carbon Cliff, Illinois.

As manager of Lifehouse, he shared songwriting credits on some tracks with their singer Jason Wade .
