ABOUT KATE COLLINS

Well known for her roles as Natalie Dillon and Janet Green on ABC's All My Children, Collins is also notable for her performance in the Broadway production of Doubles.

She first appeared on All My Children in the mid-1980s. In addition, she made an early-career guest-star appearance in an episode of L.A. Law.

In 1989, she co-hosted several episodes of Good Morning America.

The daughter of Apollo 11 astronaut Michael Collins , she spent her childhood in Boston, Massachusetts, and Washington, D.C. She later settled in Chicago, Illinois, with her theater director husband, Charles Newell, and the couple's two sons.

In 1992, Collins' Natalie Dillon character on All My Children was taken over by actress Melody Anderson .
