American screenwriter who worked from 1920 to 1937 on many different silent and sound films.

He started his career with a small acting role in the 1917 film, Reaching for the Moon.

He scripted the 1937 musical, Artists and Models, which starred Jack Benny .

He grew up with his family in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

He was a screenwriter for the 1934 comedy, Six of a Kind, which starred many popular actors, including George Burns .
