ABOUT KELVIN OKAFOR
British artist known for his hyperrealist pencil portraits. He has drawn portraits of Amy Winehouse , Lauryn Hill , John Lennon , and many other celebrities. In 2017, his drawing of the late Bernie Grant became the first pencil portrait to hang officially in the House of Commons.
He studied art at the City and Guilds of London Art School and Middlesex University.
He was Sky's Portrait Artist of the Year for 2020. He shares examples of his work on his kelvinokafor_art Instagram account, where he has gained upwards of 380,000 followers.
He is of Nigerian descent.
He drew a portrait of Winnie Harlow in support of her vitiligo charity.
