Born under the name Dakota, he lived in Seattle, Washington with his parents until the age of nineteen.

He was previously a member of Team Crafted, but left to go solo. He has more than 600,000 subscribers.

His son, Dashiell, was born in November of 2014.

He previously lived with and recorded Minecraft videos with SkyDoesMinecraft .
