Cartoonist named Harry Hambley who gained fame by posting his work on Instagram, earning over 3.6 million followers. His work features his character, a bean he created while doodling, and he uses it to try to encourage more happiness and positivity. In 2021, he won a Streamy Award in the animation category.
He attended the Welsh language high school Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Plasmawr, and while there he discovered he preferred art to sports. He decided to forgo attending university to focus more on his art.
18 months after he posed his first cartoon, he launched a clothing line and collaborated with Instagram Stories to design a "kindness sticker" that people can apply to their Instagram stories in an effort to promote positivity. He hand draws everything on a digital tablet.
All of his brothers and sisters went to university, so his parents were upset when he decided not to. But once he started making a living from his work, they relented.
